"We must end the crime of female foeticide. We must eliminate gender disparity," Singh said in an address to the nation.
"We have a dream of an India in which every woman can feel safe, secure and empowered. Where our mothers, sisters and daughters are assured a life of dignity and personal security," he added.
Thanks Mr.Prime Minister, buti you have a brain and a good heart. Dahil lang sa dowries, parents neglect their daughters na? Sheesh! Maygas! In our country, it's equal... both parties shell out cash for weddings/engagement, or sometimes, the groom takes care of the wedding. Howells, they have a different culture, iba nakasanayan... it's a good thing they're starting to change it. Yung ibang countries nga eh, they've made prostitution legal tapos a prosti can't eat hangga't di sya nakaka-quota ng 10 customers. Whut?? Yep, that's true. Meron ding female circumcision. Meron ding women na rape victim tapos they're killed or sent to prison by their own family just because they're bringing shame to their family's name. I'm really hoping that all of these cruelty to women will stop. I'm all for women empowerment. Yeah.
just another day...
